While this is a straightforward DIY project, following these steps ensures the strongest bond to the headlight lens:
- Surface Cleaning: Use a high-quality glass cleaner followed by rubbing alcohol on the top of the headlight lens. The surface must be 100% free of wax or ceramic coatings for the tape to bond.
- DIY Fit: The pre-applied 3M tape makes this a drill-free install. Carefully align the edge of the eyebrow with the top hood line before pressing down firmly.
- Finishing: These arrive in a matte black finish and look great on most builds as-is. However, they can be sanded, primed, and painted to match your Subaru's factory paint code.
