While this is a straightforward DIY project, following these steps ensures the strongest bond to the headlight lens:
- Surface Cleaning: Use a high-quality glass cleaner followed by rubbing alcohol on the top of the headlight lens. The surface must be 100% free of wax or ceramic coatings for the tape to bond.
- DIY Fit: The pre-applied 3M tape makes this a drill-free install. Carefully dry-fit the parts to find the best alignment with the hood line before removing the adhesive backing.
