Released in 1988, the Holden VL SS Group A SV, commonly known as the Walkinshaw, was developed as a homologation vehicle for Group A touring car competition. Unlike chopped-strand or spray-up laminates, woven reinforcement provides controlled fibre orientation throughout the laminate. This manufacturing method supports consistent laminate construction, predictable repairability, and professional body shop preparation for restoration and custom vehicle applications.
