INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

This is a high quality aftermarket FRP kit. To achieve a professional finish, the following steps are required, in this order:

• 1. Pre-fitting: Always test-fit every panel to the vehicle first, before any sanding, priming, or painting.
• 2. Professional Adjustment: As with most FRP components, sanding, trimming, or minor drilling may be required to align every panel correctly.
• 3. Preparation: Once fitment is confirmed, every panel requires professional priming.
• 4. Paint: Every panel arrives in a raw gel coat finish and is painted last, to match your vehicle paint code.

Is FRP suitable for a daily driver?
Absolutely. FRP is superior for daily use because it is 100% rust proof. Its lighter weight helps your engine work less, contributing to better fuel economy, and it resists the warping issues common with plastic parts in Australian heat.

What happens if I damage this panel on the street or track?
This is the primary advantage of Hand Laid FRP. Unlike plastic panels that are often disposable once cracked, FRP is fully repairable. Any local body shop can easily patch, reshape, and repaint the panel, extending the life of your investment.

Will this kit fit a VZ Commodore?
Not as a full kit. The side skirts and rear bumper also suit the VZ Sedan, but the front bumper is shaped for the VY front end, and VY and VZ front bumpers are not interchangeable. VZ owners can buy the side skirts and rear bumper individually and pair them with a VZ front bumper.

Will this kit fit the Ute or Wagon?
No. The side skirts and rear bumper in this kit are made for the 4-door Sedan only. The Ute and Wagon use different sill lengths and rear ends.

What are the door legs?
Door legs are the separate pieces that mount to the bottom of the doors, carrying the side skirt line upward for a full-length race skirt line.

Will this be a professional fit out of the box?
No aftermarket FRP panel is a simple bolt-on like an OEM part. While our moulds are high quality, minor professional adjustment is standard industry practice to account for chassis variance. This is why professional pre-fitting is required before paint.
