INSTALLATION TIPS
This is a 2-minute "engine bay dress-up" project that requires no mechanical experience:
- Surface Prep: Clean your existing plastic power steering cap with a degreaser to remove any oil residue.
- Placement: Simply slide the Billet Cover over the top of the factory cap.
- Securing: Use the included Allen Key to tighten the small grub screws on the side of the cover. This "bites" onto the factory cap to ensure it stays locked in place even with engine vibration.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I remove my old cap?
No. This is a "cover," not a replacement. It is designed to sit over the top of the factory plastic cap for aesthetic purposes.
Will it get hot to touch?
As it is made from aluminium, it will heat up with the engine bay. We recommend only adjusting or removing the cap when the engine is cool.
Is the finish permanent?
Billet aluminium is very durable, but like any polished metal, it may require a quick wipe with metal polish once or twice a year to maintain that mirror-like shine.
